To close the circle of hope, love and family by reuniting families 360 degrees. All families create a circle of hope, a circle of life, a circle of love.
In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to make our families the center of our lives. Family, is something we could not live without because we depended on it and we still do.
My goal is to help a local Syrian-Canadian, Adnan, reunite with his siblings who have been living in Iraqi refugee camps since the Syrian civil war began. I am partnering with "It Takes a Village" and "North Shore United Refugee Response" to help them raise $36,000 in order to bring Adnan's siblings to Canada and to support them in their new lives here with education, traveling expense, shelter and food.
It Takes a Village is a Group of Five, a group of local residents who have been approved by the federal government to sponsor one of Adnan's siblings and family members to come to Canada. They are collaborating with the North Shore United Refugee Response, a group of seven United Churches on the North Shore who are sponsoring another of Adnan's siblings and family members, in addition to other refugee families.
